Happy birthday Appa

 Today (Dec 29th, 2023) would have been my father's (V. Seshagiri's) 93rd birthday.  I had posted some photos from his collection and what Malini Manni gave me on whatsapp, and am reproducing them below.

The first photo is one of my father in a happy mood, and one that Malini Manni said I absolutely must have, and I agree.

The next several photos are from Appa's trip to Europe and the US in 1961. In fact, on this trip (summer 2023), I found some booklets about the US with his signature. I am reproducing them below. 

Nixon was the President of the US at the time, and it was quite interesting to see these booklets because, as the photos below will show, my father had been to Washington DC, and the White House at the time. I always had the photos in my possession, but this summer trip was the first time I found the booklets that he had saved, along with similar ones about Jamshedpur etc.

I am not sure who the folks in the last few photos are, maybe the local hosts in Milwaukee ? It appears from what I could find that the young lady's name is Diane ? Hopefully, someone browsing these pages will recognize some of the people in these photos !

Around this second (and hopefully every following) மாசிகம், I hope to post some photos related to my father. He himself was very fond of taking photos and I have digitized almost of  his photo albums. I sent him a good number of these printed out (from the digitized versions) through my good friend Praveen in 2021.

We passed through Mukkombu on this (June 2023) trip, but did not take any photos :-( There was so much water in the Kaveri. We took a LOT Of photos at Kallanai, some of which are posted below.

 My father V. Seshagiri attained shiva-lOka-prApti on auspicious guru pUrNimA day abhijit muhUrtam this month July 3rd 2023.

तीर्थ-स्नान-तपो-होम-जपादि यस्य दर्शनम् |
महागुरोश्च गुरवे तस्मै पित्रे नमो नमः ||
